That doesn't surprise me, it's most probably similar to the situation here in the UK, rap is very popular, and most music-critics agree it has become as big as rock music was.

I'm easy myself, if I like the sound of the music, or the lyrics to a song, I'll listen to it, but I do agree with what you are saying, there is a lot of crap about nowadays.
