Strange tale folks..... not for the faint of heart....
I was playing with the FoxCode Intellisence Editor, following the script created by Paul Maskens and Andy Kramek in FoxTalk "The Kit Box: Making Sense of IntelliSense"...
I used the Intellisence Editor to create a record in FoxCode.dbf for the Function Header (FDhr) command and script... a function to autocomplete and create a header at the beginning of a function...
Well, I did what I was suppose to... when I ran it by typing FDhr
in a program file, it gave a FoxCode script error.. Ok... so I mistyped something.....
I went back into the script and placed IF and ENDIF around all the code after the code used to check for oFoxCode.Location and the oFoxCode.valuetype being set....
When I ran it this time.... no error!!! ... but of course, no header either. ok.. cool...
So, I go back to the Editor, and in the Custom part, NO FDhr anymore!! It was GGGGOOOONNNEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, I opened up FOXCODE.dbf to see if it had gotten deleted SOMEHOW.... but it is not in there!! I even SET DELETED OFF to take a peek... but NO.. it is not there anymore!!!
Any ideas on what happened to that record??? So bizarre!!!! And I had typed so much code in it... sigh....
