When I use the Append command, it does not selectivly take out the records from the table.fpt file and put them in table2.fpt file. It copys the entire table.fpt to table2.fpt. I can run a PACK MEMO command on table2 after it has been done, which will remove all memo records that is not suppose to be attatched to table2, but leaves the memo fields that has a corresponding records in table2.

I guess this is not a big deal if you are dealing with small tables, but the overhead on a big table makes it unexceptable.
