I use Foxbase .dbf and .dbt file in VFP6. Can anyone let me know the limitation on .dbf file size and Records and the same for .dbt file.

Some of my old application which are complied in Clipper 5.x recently started giving problems in memo fields. Junk information started creeping in. Even if i just append a record and replace the memo field with valid information it adds either some junk or sometime carry forwards information from any previous records. Later when i searched the net i found that clipper has a limitation of 32MB max size on .dbt file.

Inspite of knowing that the native file format for memo field in VFP is .fpt, i would like to continue with my .dbt file format.

And hence would like to know whether i will face any problem using .dbt file in VFP6.
