How to release a modal form by clicking outside

Not sure but I've set mine to be Modeless and in the Init get the calling object reference to be updated to the Date picker, also in the activate method I get the reference to the previously active forms object. That way I can select any date object anywhere on any form and insert a date into it without having to open the Picker each time.
Just a thought.
