I have an XP PRO pc and I just tested your code by creating an object 'ExtraSystem' with a property 'DefaultFilePath' and stored the value of 'EXTRA!' in it. I then ran:

MD ExtraSystem.DefaultFilePath + "\NoMacros"

and it created the directory: c:\EXTRA!\NoMacros

with no problems. I would check the value of .ExtraSystem.DefaultFilePath before you run the MD command and verify it has the correct value.
