Ladies and Gentlemen

We've got a VB6 application that was developed in house and has been through many hands before it got to our team. Parts of it have been lost into a black hole - and of course we need those parts. Is there a decompiler out there (freeware/shareware preferred, we are a state agency after all) that we can use to decompile the current executable?
