Yes, I didn't explain that well, it was just sort of implied. Basically, we never found any way to do what you're asking, so I built a completely independent messaging system for the activex, as I described, which I use in all apps. Much superior to the vfp messaging, when you're done.

You lose the vfp built-in messages, but you gain total control over all the messages that way. I think it's very worthwhile, but it will take some work if you're already using a lot of vfp messages - you have to go through and modify all current vfp-messages to fit your custom messaging system, and add any others you may want.

It's just "grunt-work" basically, though you may want to build some additional custom message methods, for things like messagebar "progress animations."

As I said at first, my first post was just an idea of how to go about doing your own messaging, in case you elect to go that way. I love controlling all messages, but maybe not everyone does.
