Take a look at the xmladapter. When you load an xml file that is not nested and is in a format that we can read it will populate the tables collection of the xmladapter and then you can cycle through the xmladapter.tables collection using the tables tocursor method. There is an example in the XMLADAPTER topic in the help file.
