A similar problem was described in microsoft.public.fox.programmer.exchange newgroup ("Problem with Transparent GIF" 06/13/2003). If you have 32-bit color depth of desktop and GIF appears correctly with 16 or 24-bit color depth, then welcome to the Bug List.

>I have a button class created by using an image and label in a container. The image is a .GIF file which is rectangularish in shape and has WHITE around it as well as in the middle of it. I made the image.BackStyle = Transparent and placed the label behind the white area in the middle of the button and the label shows through. This is in VFP 7.
