Hi Dottie
This is a GOOD thing in VFP8, because it checks the files for errors before it opens the files. Older versions did not perform these checks, with the result that the file corruptions would sooner or later be so severe that the files would be unusable. In VFP8 these errors are discovered and you are notified so that you can hopefully fix the errors.
>I have a table that can be opened just fine in 6.0 but am getting this error in 8. The help is less than helpful, really. Just says to use a 3rd party tool to fix the table. There's nothing IN the table, it's just a skeleton that the program fills later. I am going to try to just re-create the table, but does anyone have any idea why this happens? or how to stop that?
