I finally had a chance to the test your suggestions:

m.somevariable = This.colCA("AGMASTER").IsSelected(ID)  && Works Fine

LOCATE For This.colCA("AGMASTER").IsSelected(ID)        && Fails

Locate and Scan both product the same error message.
