Frankenbach's code seems to work fine.

I have the same problem when I forget to upload my exe files in binary mode, because my default ftp is ascii. So when people download the exe files, they get a flash of a DOS window saying the exe can't be run in DOS mode.

So I'm guessing that the first method you gave me just downloads in ascii mode.

Thanks for the link.
