Hi Bernard,

I can't see why your app behaves like that. It is rather odd. Most of our apps run on TSE/Win2K with Citrix installed on top and we got this problem only when our data reached 9 million records (1.75GB). We used a combination of REINDEX/SYS(3050)/SYS(1104) to help optimize the app.

I assume the DROPDOWN data is a SELECT-SQL; try using just Values and see how it performs. Also, if you're not using it already, set TEMP to a subfolder under the EXE using a CONFIG.FPW file.

Were the figures reported on a TSE client running the app or at the server itself being monitored by IT. Had you have the chance to compare the figures between the two. Is Citrix installed on TSE?

HTH.

>>We are using NT TSE as well. The SYS(3050) really helped us dramatically improve the SQL calls. However, based on VFP help file, SYS(3050) is usefull if there is a large amount of physical RAM (1 GB+). This will actually limit VFP's usage of memory to the setting set by SYS(3050,1,nnnnn). Try setting it to 10MB/8MB.
