I agree with you. If you need to create a desktop app why not do it in VFP, unless one is coming from C/C++ and does not know VFP well. Or you have ton of time and big budget to burn <g>.
I think the main reason VFP developers are moving to .NET is for creating web-based apps. I know Bonnie will disagree with me <g>.
Just my 5 cents.
