Dan,
I replied back to Sergey on the Goldmine issue, but I'm not sure if I cc'ed you?? So I am sending this to you separately. I ended up finding these other utilities. You may find them helpful if you do a lot of work with Goldmine.
Here is the post:
Sergey, Dan
I ended up trying a variety of methods. I ended up finding the Br4 utility at:
http://www.prior-analytics.com/downloads/utilities.htmlAnd I found a whole bunch of other utilities, which I have not yet tried at:
http://redstonesoftbase.comThe br4 has an old quirky dos interface, but I actually found it to be more flexible and powerful than the dbf viewer, which I also tried.
But, in the end I ended up using the dbase iv dbf odbc driver, with a dsnless connection, to do what I need to do, because I need to do it programmatically. I found it a little quirky to work with, I thought it would support some things that it didn't like the '$' operator, but I got it to do what I needed.
I think a combination of these methods and tools will be helpful, depending on what I need to do, whether one time fixes, or programmatic changes, since I now need to support the client on Goldmine.
Thanks to both of you for your help.
