Does anybody have any good ideas where is save common data on the local machine? An example is appreg02 (or appreg01 if not on a network).

The reason I ask is that I'm running into NT file permission issues. I was using 'c:\program files\common files\my company\my product' but by default, a not admin person (with 'User' NT rights for the directory) can only read the files. I'm getting read-only errors if I test the application as a normal user.

I was not getting the problem with InstalShield Express Limited (3.03 and VFP 7) but I upgraded to IS Express 4 and am starting to see this. IS Express allows you to set permissions on created folders but is this the right way?
