Bonnie,

>Well, Jess, maybe I misinterpreted your question, but I didn't think that you were asking if you should stay with your VFP app or go to .NET WinForms. I thought you said that you were eventually moving everything to .NET and wanted to know about WinForms vs WebForms in .NET.

I think you got my question correctly. In fact your point strengthens mine that moving everything to .NET need not to be totally on WEBFORMS. But I need to gather and get the point of view from respected developers over the web. The management already have the decision to move everything to .NET. For now, our apps in VFP will stay "as is" and it will stay that way until the new .NET app is finished in 2 or 3 years time.

>Whether or not you should move your VFP app to .NET is something that only you guys can answer, in terms of ROI, ease of updates and all that kind of stuff. Once you've made the decision to do it, then I'll stand by my original post. =)

While VFP is powerful in developing DB apps, its respect from every corners of IT arena gets dwindling which affects our apps marketability.

We must act pro-actively and that's my take.

Thanks!
