Make a DS for the data used in your report.
Create a new report in Crystal
Set that DS as your database
Drop the fields onto the report. Same old reporting things here

Now how to call the report.

In a form, drop a crystal viewer. In the code get your dataset, instanciate the report object, and it pretty much works.
