Well, since nothing will be deleted from these tables, im not worried about the recno problem. Since this is a learning exercise in linking the tables in foxpro i doubt it would ever have anything deleted or that anyone would care to pack it ever.

That aside, i have the child table set up with a child key and it works, sorta, for some reason its only seeing the first record that it comes by. After that first record it sees in the child, it refuses to update the form i have it in. Anyone know any reasons why it would update the fields from the parent table, but not the child?

I'm begining to think its the software because I'm encountering many other problems with this instalation of FoxPro, and Xp too. So far I have had to cut and paste the contents of the form 3 times because the form has currupted itself to the point where it wont work.
