Hi Yh Yau,

I don't know. Nowadays, when I get a request to print to a Dot Matrix printer, I usually whip out my garlic necklace and make a cross out of the nearest two pieces of wood (not sure if you have seen any vampire movies in China). If a Dot Matrix is needed for a "fill in the form type of app", I would design it with ??? and ESC sequences or send stuff to a temporary text file and send that file to the printer. It could be related to FoxPro because, like I mentioned, if you can get ahold of FoxPro for DOS, you can print a FoxPro for DOS report from VFP.

IMHO VFP's report writer is pretty good, but could be better. I haven't started using VFP 8.0 yet, but I think that FoxPro would be a much better product if it had an Object Oriented report writer. Why I should have to resort to clearing out a TAG1 and TAG2 field through a back door is unacceptable to me.

Louis
