>You will need to pull all the data from all the tables into one cursor, adding a new field to the cursor which indicates which table each record came from. To create the illusion of multiple detail bands, you need to add multiple controls to the detail band and set the "Print When" logic to only print when the new field = a certain value. It gets messy because you have to stack all the fields on top of each other.

Hi Cathy:
I just got back from a trip and was enthused to find your response, and it was the only response i found to this thread.
I do have your book and have started working on creating a temporary cursor.
Conceptually, I am having trouble in developing the one big cursor, since there are 4 memo fields in Table A, that will only be updated i.e., no new records are added to those memo fields. Table B, Table C and Table D have new records added to them perioddically. The only common key between these tables is the Health Number. Therfore when adding records to the new Temporary Cursor, how do I deal with fields in the Temporary Cursor that can have only one record?
Am I making sense to you? Thank you for your guidance Cathy.
