I am not familiar with Powerpoint, but if you want to load the entire Powerpoint application, you might just be able to issue a

! powerpoint mypresentation.pp /N3

command. Of course, I don't know the EXE to run Powerpoint and I don't know that it takes a filename as a parameter to automatically load the presentation (but it should/probably does).
