You will need to install the barcode font on any machine that you intend to use for printing barcodes. Most all readers require a leading and trailing asterisk. So if you wanted to create a barcode for some number, lets say: 12345,
you would open wordpad or notepad or a foxpro report and type
*12345*
Highlight the text and change the font to the appropriate barcode font.
DO NOT use msword, it will screw up the formatting, especially if you ever change the font back to read it.
I have found through trial and error that BC39 narrow works well for most laserjet printers. As long as you dont try to make it too big or too small.
