well, we came up with a work around to our iffy installation of foxpro. I had to write a couple lines of code that manually change where it looks for the record on the second table. BTW, im not mad or anything that you assumed i was just beggining data bases. Its better to teach/talk to the lowest level denominator so as to make yourself clear. No harm no foul. The thing works now, just not how its supposed to within the original FoxPro rules. Thanks everyone for helping to solve this.
