Hi Ron,
Things are really ok at this end, i'm working for 3 companies concurrent at the moment. Still doing maintenance on vpmeld :-). Also i am starting a webhosting company at the moment for specialised webhosting (foxpro/westwind is an option ;)

Have you tried good old bcp copy? you can run this from a stored procedure. Search in the books online. this is the fastest method to get data into sqlserver. (we used it at GAK for importing >4 million records in aprox. 5 minutes on a not so fast server)
The only problem with bcp is you need a template or structure file to import.
bcp is faster than the xmlbulkcopy a i recall.
