It would be useful if someone could actually define what has actually been achieved by "porting" this? As far as I can see this is *very* much still native "unmanaged" code with the Radar Extension being the only managed part. This actually integrates through the use/construction of Standard Template Library data structures maintained in the C++ heap. Check out the use of the __nogc compiler directive.

Don't get me wrong (this is a real cool article) but all this does for me is prove that as is the case with VB 6, C++, Delphi or VFP you don't have to jump into managed code with both feet.
