VFP was not Standard SQL, and MS has moved to bring it more into line with the standards. Whether that's a move forward or backward, I suppose depends on your point of view. Many people feel that since grouping by a particular field in a list of fields makes the results brought back by those other fields suspect at best and meaningless at worst, the best thing MS could do is bring it into line.

At least they have left you with Set EngineBehavior 70 if you really feel the need to stay outside the standard.
