You're right. It's very unlikely I know but three years ago I would've said open source software is a tech head toy that will never be able to compete with MS. Today I read that Linux and non-commercial software is MS’s second greatest risk behind the general economic environment. The software industry is evolving and the MS monopoly is slowly eroding. Who knows what the future will bring in this industry. The one thing that won’t change in this industry is data. VFP is a workhorse and the most flexible tool for manipulating data. I am simply saying VFP is an excellent product that fits nicely into this "low cost" trend that is driving the IT industry and Linux needs a tool for working with data.
