The * is a signifier that the variable is a pointer or memory reference.
It means that the variable that gets passed in can be changed by the function.
I wish I knew the exact way to declare an API function in FoxPro as my background is mainly in C++ and VB. I have been tinkering with FoxPro and learning a bit about it.
