Yesterday, the entire city of Cochabamba was without electricity for ca. 1-2 hours.
Now, I read in CNN that it was not only in Cochabamba, but a total of
six cities that were without electricity! Cities, dispersed all over the country! I understand the exact cause has yet to be determined.
(That was the Spanish edition of CNN (
http://www.cnnenespanol.com/2003/americas/07/19/boliviabkout.ap/index.html ); it is also mentioned in
www.lostiempos.com from Cochabamba. I didn't find anything yet in CNN-English, or in in a Google News search.)
Difference in opinions hath cost many millions of lives: for instance, whether flesh be bread, or bread be flesh; whether whistling be a vice or a virtue; whether it be better to kiss a post, or throw it into the fire... (from Gulliver's Travels)
