John;
The reality in Silicon Valley is strange if in fact it exists. On one hand they talk about our record high unemployment, people leaving, 8% housing vacancy rate, record available square footage of office and r/d space, record bankruptcies, record home mortgage defaults, housing prices falling, and we will have more new millionaires than any part of the United States!
We are quickly approaching a society of “haves and have not’s”. 123,000 H1B’s, 90% of our employed electronics engineers are H1B’s by the way, 192,000 lost IT jobs, and the numbers just go on. I am not sure the numbers prove anything other than chaos. I am glad to say that one thing has remained stable – GREED! :)
