Dmitry,
I would think in the HTML page you could add controls in the table. I haven't needed to use them in VS.NET with all the other controls available to me. It just might not be available via the Designer page.
>I understand that designer has more control with Web Control Tables (vs. HTML tables).

>But please tell me if I understand correctly that Web Control Tables can be used to display only static text or graphics (since in VS.NET I don't see a way to place anything but text or graphics in Web Control table)?

>>Tables have been used well before the Web Form Controls were available in ASP.NET. Now with these new controls, we can have more control of our desired output.

>>>Cathi,
>>>I will try using PlaceHolder for this form. Thank you very much.
>>>
>>>I am still wondering (with four books on asp.net opened on my desk and not even one having a hint on asp:table use) what do people use asp:table?

But when I view the page in the design view I cannot select any of the controls inside the asp:table. It seems that I can only select the entire table.
