It was not clear what your customer was going to use to send e-mail. I did not want to leap to any conclusion that they were going to use Exchange or anything else. You need to discuss with the customer and explain the limitations for this feature and what they can do to help. I am not familiar enough with Exchange, but SMTP in IIS, I think, will allow you to specify an IP mask to accept relaying from so the 4th set of numbers in the IP address should not matter.

Another option is automation using MS Outlook assuming that is the e-mail client they are using on all their workstations.

We were figuring that we would use the WestWind libs to send SMTP email via the customer's Mail Server (MS Exchange, for example). This worked fine for me here in the office...once I configured the Mail Server to allow for relaying of email messages from my IP address. What I was wondering...is how to work-around the issue of dynamically assigned IP addresses in regards to allowing/restricting relaying from the mail (smtp) server. Other than forcing the user to have a static IP Address for our application's workstation/server or having them provide a range of IP addresses.....I was hoping to know if there were another approach, while still using SMTP and WestWind.
