Yes...the users will have an email login/password. However, the email that is sent via our application will really come from a dummy email account(one that is a real account on the server, but not associated with a real person). I think that using this approach would be similar to what Brian has suggested too...change the Exchange server to force authentication and then pass along the username and password.
