You've to make cursor updatable before you can do that. See How to Create Updatable Views by Using SQL Passthrough mskn #Q138094 or How to make SQL Pass-Through cursor updatable FAQ #8153.

>I create a cursor from using an sqlexec command. I attached the cursor to a grid. I used a button to issue an append blank. I typed in the new record information. How do I get the information to commit. I tried sqlcommit(mdhandle) but when I try to refresh the grid I get an error message telling me that the grid has uncommited changes.
