Ok, I'm not even really sure how to correctly ask this question, but I will give it a chance.

Inside of a DataGrid or DataList, i have some TemplatedColumns that I wish to DataBind. I have added some Custom controls inside of my ItemTemplate, which I need DataBound. I want to DataBind programmatically, instead of at design. How do I gain access to these controls inside of my ItemTemplate.

I don't want to use Dynamic Templates unless there is a way to separate the design and the code. I don't think DataBind on the custom controls is ever firing because they aren't child controls of the page or the control that the DataGrid is on.

Anyone with ANY ideas at all? I would appreciate it.
