For some of you more experienced in .Net and web forms I was wondering if you could give me some idea of the differences of using the new web forms in .Net versus solutions for rich web clients by Vultus or Versalent.

The Versalent products require nothing special on the server or the client so installation is simple.

I am researching the solutions for providing better web-interfaces than standard HTML with its limitations.

Also products like Vista Software Apollo Server have TCP/IP built into their data server so you can access the data from any workstation where your app is installed over the Internet. Using this technique seems to eliminate the need for a web interface. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this approach versus rich web clients.

Any discussion on these ideas is appreciated.
