I have a VFP 3.0 application running and I want to turn the status bar off. So in my main.prg I issue the SET STATUSBAR OFF command. Now, when I re-compile and run the .exe again the status bar has disappearred, as it should, but all interactions (e.g. MESSAGEBOX() calls) produce text in the bottom of the active form.

For example :

the messagebox text is "Are you sure you want to exit?"

This text is then reproduced at the bottom of the active form together with what seems the return value, once a button is clicked.

Any help is much appreciated,
