Thanks for your code. It works fine on our machine too and we can trap the error.

But in our project, it still doesn't work and we'll have to dig further. I don't know if it's related, but we pointed to a weird behavior with divisions by zero. When we try a division by zero from a clean VFP start, it returns "*****" correctly. Within our project the divisions by zero crash the all app (Dr. Watson) with this message:

AppName: vfp8.exe AppVer: 8.0.0.2521 ModName: vfp8.exe
ModVer: 8.0.0.2521 Offset: 000b84a1

We suspect some libraries we load to interfere with VFP8.0 and we might have to do some cleaning.
