Chris,

If the structure of the table changes, you'd have to update your .xsd anyway, regardless of which type of DataSet you are using. Then you simply regenerate the Typed DataSet while you're there. One extra quick-and-dirty step ... simple enough. =) (You actually have to click on the Generate DataSet option twice, since it's a toggle and the first click "un-generates" it.)
