Trying to do some basic maintenance to some Foxpro 2.6 tables using the VFPOLEDB (version 8) provider and using the CommandBuilder. All tables are indexed (CDX) and the first field is always the primary index and unique. But most times, the CommandBuilder fails with error message - "Dynamic SQL generation for the UpdateCommand is not supported against a SelectCommand that does not return any key column information".

However, one out of twenty or so tables works properly. I can't figure out what is different about the one table that works, vs. the others.

Has anyone had any experience with this? Is there some trick I'm missing to setting the primary key?

(I understand that the CommandBuilder is not the way to go for "production" type stuff, but would serve my purpose very nicely here.)
