I am installing VS6 on my XP box that already has VS 2000 and VS 2003 and is up to date at the windows update site. I get the following messagebox;
Title: 16 bit Windows Subsystem
Message: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows Applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.
Buttons: Close & Ignore

These are previously installed OEM CD's not 'backups' and they worked on a different machine. Clicking ignore yields the same results as clicking close. I am not having any problems with any other apps.

My humble thanks in advance,
~Joe Johnston USA

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animated contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsel or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."
