Recently I took a trip to DisneyWorld for a week to attend a conference. I hadn't flown in awhile (by choice) and the new security measures were quite a change. I watched many people (single young men, senior citizens, and ethnic minorities mostly) get searched to the point of removing belts, shoes, and emptying all bags. Some were singled out before the plane departed at each stop after already passing through security. It gives one such a 'false' sense of security it is amazing. However, when I went into Disney World to spend the day, a sign was posted that only small bags would be allowed on the resort and every bag would be personally inspected. I have a backpack purse I was carrying and the gentlemen doing the inspection opened my purse, looked inside (he could only see the top of it as it was jam-packed full of junk) and closed it. He then handed it to me and allowed me inside. Not only was my purse not inspected (I could have had anything in my bag and have had just about everything in it at one time or another) but it didn't pass through any type of xray either. I would estimate that around 85% if not more of the employees in the Orlando area are all from other countries. There are so many backways into the resort via canals, it is scary.

With the number of people at Disney World everday and the lax inspections and security, I'm glad nothing has happened!
