Hi,

How does Fox decide the field types for fields that come from a back end database? and is there any way of changing this?

We've used SQL Server and Sybase - no problems with field types.

We are now using SQL AnyWhere - this doesn't support bit fields so all our logicals come back as 1 or 0 so obviously :

IF 1
code
ENDIF

crashes!

SQL AnyWhere uses a UDF field type called Bit based on tiny int. Is there any way in Fox to tell it to convert this to logical? Without having to add extra code to wrap around our SQLs.

Thanks in advance

Ian Russell

( for Steven Black - this is the Philip Morris SMS project - still going!)
regards

Ian
