Hi Houston,

>I was under the impression this thread was meant to be about an extremely humorous hypothetical Seinfeld skit.

It's true. Me trying to be funny, using an issue that US developers could relate to, was the primary intention, in the hopes that one day I'll be able to say of you all: "You like me! You really, really like me!". <g>

>>Fourth, this is not about communism vs. democracy. Its economics. We make stuff, they make stuff, we buy stuff, they buy stuff, we all make and buy stuff together <g>!

>You’re correct, this is not about politics, it's about economics - alas I find it as hard to separate these two, as the Bush Administration does trying to keep Church and State separated.

LOL. At least in this country, the two are intertwined. Per the IBM outsourcing story at http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nyt/20030722/ts_nyt/ibmexploresshiftofwhitecollarjobsoverseas -- But in recent weeks many politicians in Washington, including some in the Bush administration, have begun voicing concerns about the issue during a period when the economy is still weak and the information-technology, or I.T., sector remains mired in a long slump.
