Hmm, works fine on my system here. I have tried it on multible connectections. Always from my workstation (XP) to
- server (NT 4)
- WS (XP)
- WS (98 2nd edition)

the function always returns a serial number. I am sorry, but i do not know how to help you then. I hope you find a workable solution.
