What is the difference
mainly in energy consumption
Desktop is standard P4 chip it is chaper, but you can use notebook mainly with powersuply without battaries.
Mobile chip is chip with low consumption, but is more expensive.
Centrino is newest Intel chip with not only reducing power supply but also with regulation of consumption according tasks.
