Japanese products are known for quality. One of my hobbies is photography. About 95% of the professional photographers in the world who use 35 mm format use Nikon cameras. The Japanese have a special sticker they put of their cameras to indicate quality.

About 15 years ago Japan set up a camera manufacturing plant in South Korea and then announced, “It will be 5 years before this plant will meet our quality standards”! I have not kept up with the story so I do not know how it turned out. Japan sends many things to other countries these days for manufacturing.

My brother just bought a monster Sony television – as big as a wall! After one day it died! My new HP photo printer died right out of the box! Not to worry – a friend at HP told me the printer line abolished QC to reduce cost. They let the new owner test the unit. If it doesn’t work use your warranty!


Is everything made in China or only the good stuff? :)

>It happens in the U.S. too. Many people assume if it was manufactured in Japan it must be better than a comparable or like product manuafactured in the U.S. And less expensive to boot.
