>My brother just bought a monster Sony television – as big as a wall! After one day it died! My new HP photo printer died right out of the box! Not to worry – a friend at HP told me the printer line abolished QC to reduce cost. They let the new owner test the unit. If it doesn’t work use your warranty!

A friend of mine bought a Sony TV a couple years ago. It died after one day. The store replaced this TV by another of the same model. It died within 3 days. After that it was replaces by another model of Sony TV. The same result. Only fourth TV was working. I know a lot of similar things with Sony TVs. In all cases they were assembled in Great Britain of other European countries, not in China. I heard that Sony TVs in GB are assembled by the former coalminers. I'd believe it.
I had dealing with many HP LJ printers. Most of them were made in China. No problems at all.
